Office 365 ProPlus, the cloud-connected version of Office, offers the most productive and secure Office experience – with the lowest installation and management costs. But for customers who aren’t ready for the cloud, Office 2019 offers new features and updates to on-premises applications for both users and IT professionals. Like Windows Long Term Service Channel (LTSC) releases, Office 2019 offers a number of valuable improvements for customers who cannot connect to the cloud or receive regular updates.
The new improvements in Office 2019 are part of a long list of features that have been added to Office 365 ProPlus over the past three years. Office 2019 is a one-time release and will not receive future updates. However, we continue to add new features to Office 365 ProPlus every month, including collaboration, artificial intelligence (AI), security, and more.
Office 2019 offers cross-application features that enable users to create compelling content in less time. In PowerPoint 2019, you can create movie-like presentations with new features like Morph and Zoom. Enhanced inking features in Windows applications, such as roaming pen, pressure sensitivity, and tilt effects, allow you to create documents naturally.
